Parking
The library has limited parking just off Shawbrook Road. This includes priority parking for disabled users.
Public Transport
Buses
The library building is located 100 yards from bus stops on Burnage Lane for the following services in both directions:
22 between Stockport and Bolton
169 between Chorlton and Ashton-under-Lyne
197 between Manchester and Stockport
At the junction of Mauldeth Road, some 350 yards down Burnage Lane, you can also catch the 179 between Wythenshawe Hospital and Stockport.
Additionally, Errwood Road is located 350 yards behind the library and provides access to the 178 service between Reddish and Altrincham (this also passes by Mauldeth Road train station).
If you are travelling from the direction of MediaCityUK or East Didsbury, you can catch the 50 service or the 130 service which will drop you at Kingsway at the junction of Mauldeth Road.
Trains
Mauldeth Road train station is located 10 minutes walk from the library across Kingsway and down Mauldeth Road. Trains travel from Manchester City Centre every half an hour and the journey takes between 9 and 11 minutes.
Departing from the platform next to the B&Q garden centre, you will appear on to Mauldeth Road. Turn left and walk towards the lights. Cross over and keep left, passing Kingsway Carpets and continuing down Mauldeth Road until a set of lights greets you on to Burnage Lane. Once you reach the lights turn right and follow the road to Burnage Healthcare Centre. Burnage Library Activity and Information Hub is the next building.
