On March 15th, Writer in Residence Joy Wassell Timms had a ‘launch’ of her 2 new Poetry pamphlets at Burnage Library. The titles of each pamphlet being respectively ‘Shout’ and ‘Word Hoards.’ The evening was a big success with an attendance of over 30.
As well as Joy reading, she was joined by volunteer Doreen Robinson, Avis Palmer and Lynn Walton, who read one of her own poems. Lutenist, Roger Child played music by Bach and Rameau and a good time was had by all.
